It's raining it's pouring...

This week it has been non-stop rain and I'm loving it! It's fun to have a change in the weather and I love the rain.
So this week I decided that I am very grateful for umbrellas. They are cute and keep me dry :o)
YAY for rain!!!

Viva Las Vegas

This post is so long over due but I had to post these fun pics and thank my awesome fam for visiting!
Last month my brother Andrew, his girlfriend Keri and my sis Katie all came down to Vegas for a visit. It went by way too fast but it was so fun having them here and I got to meet Keri for the first time (and absolutely loved her)! Jeff had finals coming up so he studied most of the time but the four of just went down to the strip and had some fun. We rode on the roller coaster at the NY NY and I have pictures of that but...I look drunk so they aren't going up. We had a blast on the ride! We really just goofed off most the day and later that night picked Jeffery up and ate at a buffet. Here are a few pics of our fun weekend!
The 4 of us at M&M factory sportin some cool shades

Keri decided to pull a "Buddy the Elf" my darn camera
wouldn't work...hence the painful look on her face :o)

There are some real weirdos out on the strip but we loved this dude! He looked like a statue and when I stood by him to get my pic taken he says
"hold very still...I pretend I kiss you"

Love my lil' sis!

So cute!

Fish face!

Wore 'em out with all of our fun!

Thanks so much guys for coming and staying with us!
We love you so much and loved having you here!

Woo Hoo...we made it to 2010! I can't believe that it has been 10 years since 2000 and all of the Y2K junk. I remember celebrating the year 2000 and as the clock struck midnight waiting for something disastrous to happen. But here we are a whole decade later and what joy those 10 years have brought to me! (I feel like a little old lady sitting here reflecting up my life)
But the real reason for this post is to reflect upon New Years Eve 2004...
Jeff and I had been on a few dates but were just starting to crush :o) (I love that part of relationships) My friend Karli and I were chillin at my house with not much planned...Pace and some of his friends were on their way to my house from Salt Lake and I was really hoping that Jeff would call me. He never did...so we called him. Karli ended up talking to him and convinced them to come over. We played a murder mystery game...and if I remember right we recorded the whole game? (Karli do you know what happened to that?) Any way we had a blast and all was well! As midnight roles around new years kisses are being given and someone says that Jeff and I should kiss...AWKWARD!!!

Not exactly how I would have envisioned it but non the less...and yes they took a picture! I was mortified at the time but laugh every time I think about it now. It probably would have taken him months to do if he hadn't been pressured by our friend. So thanks guys for giving him the motivation to finally do it!
Best decision I ever made!!!! I love you Jeffy!

A Happy and Healthy New Year to everyone!

So Thankful

This amazing sister came and spoke to our Relief Society and I have been thinking about her non stop since. It amazes me what some people go through and the faith they have. She has inspired me to be better, more optimistic, grateful, humble, charitable....etc etc. I feel sorry for my self sometimes but after hearing her story I have nothing to complain about ever. Take a minute and read her story. (click here) Sheri Dew has invited her to be apart of Time Out for Women so if you get the chance to attend I suggest you do. We take so much for granted.

Thanksgiving Fun

We hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We were so lucky to be able to go to Washington state to visit Jeff's sister, bro in law and sweet new niece! It was so fun to get away and spend a wonderful weekend with family!

Janiel made these cute Turkey cupcakes...she's always so cute and festive! I didn't get any pictures of our thanksgiving feast...but thanks to Klaas' mom we had a wonderful dinner! (Jeff was so excited to eat some of Jeanette's cooking...she's amazing!)

This was my first trip to Washington and I've heard how green and beautiful it is there but not even the pictures do it justice! I think all of this Nevada desert has gotten to me! This picture is a little lane you drive up to get to J and K's house. I loved it!

This is their backyard...

Jeffy and I down at the pier :o)

Jeff, Jake and I took a Ferry over to Seattle for a day and went on this way cool Underground Tour. I had no idea that this had even happened but I guess back in 1889 there was a big fire and a lot of Seattle was burned to the ground. The city wanted to raise the land because of the way the tide came in and sewage was a big problem but many business owners didn't want to wait so they immediately started re-building and the city raised the land and built around these businesses. So you could walk out of the bank and have to climb up a 8ft ladder to get to the side walk...I don't know if any of this makes sense so Google it if you want to know more, but it was way cool!

They had these little glass pieces put into the sidewalks to bring in some light for the underground businesses...

...this is what it looked like under the street!

We made a visit to a cool place called Pike Place Market and I found...

BEECHER'S CHEESE!
I thought it was pretty cool!
(for those of you who don't know my maiden name is Beecher (o: )

They are so fun :o)

Sweet baby Brightyn, auntie Erin and uncle Jeffy

Thank you Janiel and Klaas for letting us come up and visit. We are so grateful that baby B is here safe and sound and love you all to pieces!
Can't wait for our next visit!
Hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We are so grateful for such great friends and to be blessed with awesome families. We have so much to thankful for!

I know I know...I stink at this blogging stuff. I've missed two thankful Thurs in a row. I'm going to try and make it up. This one is for the 19th.
I am so thankful for airplanes! They totally beat driving and got us to Washington in a snap! I had never ridden on an airplane until I was 18 yrs old...so sad I know. My senior year my family took trip to Disney Land and that was my first time on a plane! I've been quite a few times since then and love every bit of it :o) So thank you so much Wright Brothers for this wonderful invention!
